Ken burns with 3D lighting with Apple Motion
Check out this Apple Motion tutorial for creating the Ken Burns effect with some simple 3D lighting. If you are a Final Cut Pro user, you could create something similar, but Motion offers the added ability of adding 3D lighting.

Adding lights in Apple Motion is a great way to bring still images to life.
Press command 4 and command 7 to bring forward the layers tab and timeline windows.
Click on the file browser within the inspector window.
Find a mega pixel still image to import into Motion.
Drag the still image into the canvas window.
Before we add our light, let's animate the image.
Navigate to the inspector window and click on the inspector tab.
Within the properties tab adjust the scale parameter to zoom into you image.
Reposition the image to focus in on a particular area.
Press the record button at the top of the timeline window
Move the playhead indicator forward a few seconds.
Drag the image within the canvas window so you're looking at a different area of the photo.
Back up to the front of the timeline, and then press the play button to check out the animation.
After you're done watching the animation, return the playhead indicator back to the front of the timeline.
Navigate to the object menu to add a light.
You'll see how switch the group to 3D in order for Motion's lighting system to work.
Click on the heads up display or HUD button.
Crank of up the intensity of the light so you can see more light on the photo.
If you want to animate the light, start the record process again.
Move the position indicator forward several seconds.
Adjust the parameters for the light at its new position. In his example, I'll increase the intensity as it approaches the 5 second mark in time.
That's it! Check it out. Now you have an animated photo with an animated light.
