    This Final Cut Pro class focuses on learning how all the Final Cut Studio applications work together. You will not find another course like it!


    The only way to obtain Final Cut Pro is to purchase the entire Final Cut Studio. So therefore, it make sense to learn the correct workflow, of using all the applications together , when learning the software.


    This course is an intensive 5 day hands-on workshop that covers the Final Cut Pro and associated Studio software applications. This course will take you through the basics all the way through some of the more complex editing techniques and effects. If you have a passion for learning or upgrading your skills in Final Cut Pro you will definitely benefit from this course. This course runs 9:00am to 5:00pm (M-F). There are scheduled breaks along with a 1 hour lunch break.

    Day 1: Final Cut Pro editing techniques

    Day 2-3: The following three days focus on producing a project with Final Cut Pro, and integrating Motion, Soundtrack Pro, and LiveType.

    Day 4: Learn the secrets of using Photoshop for Video. Make your video look good using Apple Compressor. Learn how to build an iWeb site that incorporates your video from Final Cut Pro.

    Day 5: On the last day students will learn how to take the project they have been working on over the past three days, and create a fully functional DVD using DVD Studio Pro.

    Intro to DVD Studio Pro (100 Course)

This course is included as part of our Final Cut Pro (Studio) 5 day class.  In this course you will gain all of the skills necessary to author a fully functional DVD. You will learn the entire authoring process from the preplanning steps that happen before you even begin editing to burning your finished DVD.  You will learn the entire DVD creation/authoring process. 

    You will explore the various interface windows, configurations, and certain project and preference settings. You will start off by creating a simple DVD, by using DVD Studio Pro to make it a looping DVD. You will learn how to create a basic menu and then connect assets to the menu. You will learn how to simulate a disc within the DVD Studio Pro application. Then you'll discover how to build a simple project and burn a disc.

    After learning the how to create a basic DVD you will finish the day creating a more complex DVD.  You will learn how to create interactive menus, including a main menu and sub menus. You will build a custom slideshow that has a variety of transitions and audio.  Adding Subtitles will also be covered in this class. You will also learn how to add DVD ROM content to the disc. Last of all you will learn how to encode and output your DVD.

    Discover the menu creation process and how to import assets. Learn how to add a background graphic.     Finishing your DVD
    First you will test your project. Next, you will learn about building and formatting an actual DVD disc. You will discover some of the differences between a DVD rom player and a consumer set top player. Learn the various ways to burn a disc. Learn about the differences between different types of DVD media. Next, you will discover some important concepts regarding distribution of your completed DVD.

    This 200 level course is the continuation of the DVD Studio Pro 100 class offered the day before, which is a perquisite for this class as well. This class is offered on Saturday's from 9-5 with an hour lunch break. In this class students will explore some of the more advanced features of DVD Studio Pro.

    The skills taught in this class are what take a basic DVD to the caliber that you expect to see coming out of Hollywood.  Using Stories, Scripting, and DVD@access you will be able to increase the level of interactivity of your DVD's. In Addition in this class students will learn encoding techniques to maximize the amount of material they fit on a DVD.

    This class is part of GeniusDV's 11 Day Final Cut Studio bundle course.

    From seasoned editors to beginners the majority of Final Cut Pro users do not realize what all Soundtrack Pro can do. GeniusDV has developed an advanced Soundtrack Pro class, that has been designed to give students a much broader comprehension of what Soundtrack Pro can do. Starting by explaining the diference between an Audio File Project and a Multi Track Project, and when each is appropriate.

    Students will learn the how to use Soundtrack Pro for all of the different aspects of producing audio. You will also earn how Soundtrack Pro and Final Cut Pro integrate with one another.

    Specifically Students will learn how to set up Soundarack Pro to do a voice over, as well as using Soundtrack Pro to clean up a lesser quality recording. Students will receive instruction on both Filters and Effects, as Well as an introduction to Scoring. Audio preproduction will also be taught, focusing on the value of a good script, and how to both develop and adhere to it.
