[Final Cut Pro] DVD Ripper for Mac

If you’ve got a 6th-generation iPod (iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod classic) an iPhone, a Zune or some other players, one of the things you probably want to do is put movies on it. After all, movies really do look great on the iPod, and it?s a lot easier to carry around than a laptop or portable DVD player.

The problem is that commercial DVDs are copy-protected, which means you can?t ?rip? them in iTunes as you can a music CD. So you need a special tool that removes this copy protection as it extracts the video content; if that tool can then convert the video to a format suitable for playback on your iPod, iPhone or other players, even better. (And by the way, I?m not talking about movies you?ve rented or borrowed; I?m talking about movies you actually own.)
My favorite tool for accomplishing this task is iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac .
how to use the software of iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac?
Detail info at ripe dvd for Mac
Step 1: Add DVD Movie

Click the Load DVD button, browse your computer, find the DVD folder of the movie you want to add from your hard disc or DVD-ROM, open your DVD folder, select the VIDEO_TS folder and click OK.
Or, click the Load IFO button, browse your computer, find the DVD folder of the movie you want to add from your hard disc or DVD-ROM, open your DVD folder, open the VIDEO_TS folder, select all the IFO files and click OK.
After you add your movie, you can choose any titles or chapters that you want to convert by ticking the check boxes before them.

Step 2: Output Settings

At the bottom of the main window, you can name the output file for the current title/chapter, and select a subtitle to put on your movie, select an audio track. Then finish all the settings including selecting an output format, clicking the Settings button to set the video and audio encoding settings, choose if to merge the selected titles or chapters into one file, and set an output directory to save the output files.
Step 3: Start Conversion

After setting the output settings, you can just click the Convert button to start converting your
Movie. You can choose to shut down your computer or open the output folder after conversion so you don’t have to sit before your computer waiting for the conversion to finish.
Advanced Options
If you want to edit your movie before converting it, iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac provides your with various powerful functions including:
1. Trim DVD Title or Chapter
If you want to capture a clip from the current title/chapter, you can click the Trim button to open the Trim window and trim the current title or chapter by dragging the Start Time slider to set the start time, and dragging the End Time slider to set the finish time.

2. Crop DVD Video
If you want to remove the black edges or just convert an area from your movie video, you can click the Crop button to crop the video of the current title or chapter. You can specify an area
either by dragging the frame around the video or setting the crop values: Top, Button, Left and Right.

3. Video Effect
If you want to adjust the video effect of your movie, you can click the Effect button and drag each effect adjustment slider to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation and video volume. You can also choose a special effect from the Effect drop-down list to apply to your movie.

To anyone who can help:

I just purchased Media Composer 2.8 and get the following error twice during launch:

"An ACCESS_VIOLATION exception occurred. For more information see the error log: c:\...\Avid FatalErrorReports"

I get to Media Composer OK, but when I try to do anything with ANY media (ie - play media), the system crashes with the following "ASSERT Failed" message:

Executable: AvidMediaComposer.exe Pid 8a4 Tid 910. Module DVBuffers.ax, 3 objects left active!
At line 319 of S:\external\DX8SDK\BaseClasses\dllentry.cpp
Continue? (Cancel to debug)

From the point of that error, no matter what I say (Yes, No, Cancel), Media Composer is shut down. I don't get the whole "S:\" thing - it's not a drive I have, so what does that mean?

Whatever advice anyone can offer would be most appreciated.

Hi Sneto:

In the Final Cut Pro effects pallette, there is an 8 point garbage mask. You'll need to mask out the areas of the Plesantville effect to reveal the original clip below itself.

V2 (Completed Pleasantville Effect) + 8 point garbage mask filter that masks out the areas you do not want.

V1 (Exact copy of the same clip on V2 without any filters)

I'll warn you, if the camera is moving, this is somehwat painful if not impossible using Final Cut Pro with an 8 point garbage mask. You may need to animate each point indivdually to attempt to mask out the areas you do not need. You really should use Apple Motion or After Effects for something like this.

Good luck on this.

Hi,

i have Avid Xpress Pro 5.7.5
I have problem, When I try to play my footage (XDCAM media .mp4) on source window or composer window, or in Basic toolset, I can hear sound but cant see the video. If I pause it, frame updated to the last frame.

This problem is happening in 5.7.5 version. I tried 5,8 and the videos plays fine.

But I need to use 5.7.5

I think its a hardware issue. My system specs:
DELL XPS 1530
Core 2 Duo T7250 2.0 GHZ
2 GB Ram
8600M GT 256 mb
Quicktime 7.2
nVidia 175.63 display drivers (I tried 162.18 too)

So I check the changelog of the 5.8 and it says "Version 5.8 adds support for: Mac OS 10.4.10, Apple QuickTime 7.2 and new CPU’s including Mac and PC notebooks"

Maybe my GPU is newer for 5.7.5? Or is there any other way to solve this?

Hi

I am exporting a sequence as a wmv and yet any part of the sequence that has a filter or motion filter on it comes up as "unrendered" when it is exported?

Does anyone know why this is? at the moment, my only fix is to export as a FCP quicktime and then reimport and export again as wmv!

There must be an explanation, has anybody else had this?

Thanks in advance!

I am needing to export, at the best quality, a 10 minute video.
I have been trying to do this with Quicktime movie and then taking into iDVD to burn. The video ends up looking choppy with a lot of digital lines. I am trying to figure out if this is something in my Final Cut Pro settings or somehow iDVD. (I have, but do not know how to use DVD Studio Pro yet.)

What are the best settings and way to do this?
Quicktime Movie or Qucktime conversion. (It is my understanding that conversion quality is not as good.)
And what are the best settings in these?

Thank you for your time.

Can you please provide me with some additional specifics on your configuration? Version of OS X, and version of Avid Xpress?

Do you have a tape machine connected to your system? If so, turn it off while editing. This will force your system audio to be routed through the standard MAC audio port instead of the firewire port. I'm not sure if this is necessarily related to your problem.

Also, double check and make sure you are running the correct version of QuickTime.

How, deleteting the "Creating" folders did seem to work once with only c: drive attached. Reattached Ext's and no go. Striped them out again and same error messes come up.

But I am now able to edit and export movies. But that fatal error is something I don't want to live with.

Would buying 5.7 make any difference, btw?

Hi,

After researching this further, I think I know what the problem is. It might have something to do with the audio driver/card.

To troubleshoot this, go to the control panel and double click on system settings. Go to the hard-drive tab and click on the device manager. Right click on your audio device, and disable it. See if the Avid software boots. It will warn you that no audio is present, but you should be able to continue.

If this is the case, you'll need to find a compatible audio driver.

Hi,

Make sure there aren't any 'creating file' folders outside of the OMFI MediaFiles folder. I've run into this problem before.

If that doesn't work, I delete the media database files inside each OMFI mediafiles folder.

You can also troubleshoot this by removing all of your external storage devices and see if the software launches. Next step would be to rename any OMFI Mediafiles folder to 'old MediaFiles' to see if the Avid will launch.

Once you get the software to launch without errors, you can concentrate on figuring out which files inside the OMFI mediafiles are corrupted.

After a HD crash had to reinstall Express Pro 4.5.1 on new drive. Old system more than adequate (pent 4 / 2g ram) runiing for 3 years fine. But as Avidl loads an error come on that the AVIDDSM didn't not initialize. And when attempt to play timeline I get error ss :Exception_2008.05.16_17.12.36 20080516171236 Dump

Can't open any media files

I suspect my OMFI MediaFiles can't talk to avid, so to speak bec. of shared library probs or SDM probs. I've reinstalled several times. Any suggestions out there? This is the exact message:

AFTER the Open GL loads on startup, it says at the bottom "Loading Setup..." and that's when the first error message comes up, a Windows error:

"An ACCESS_VIOLATION exception occurred. For more information see the error log: c:\Program Files\Avid\Avid Xpress Pro HD\Avid FatalErrorReports\Exception_2007.01.07_13.35.36"
(I can't open this error log, it is a file type that the PC doesn't know)

When I click Okay, an Avid error comes up:

"The AvidSDM (Storage Device Manager) could not be loaded or initialized. This could be due to a mismatch or missing AvidSDM Shared Library and Service can result in degraded performance while running the Avid application. Please make sure that the proper AvidSDM Shared Library and Service are installed on the system."
Could really use some help. Thanks so much.

I will show you how to download video content from numerous sites( youtube, Google Video, etc) and convert it using two methods to iPod format files. It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

1. Using free video converter for mac
The First Method is using free video converter software.
For this you need the following:
A Mac computer. (tiger or leopard)
A video to download.
Free Video Converter for Mac

Step 1 Download the FLV
Now you need to download the .FLV flash video file. There are many ways of doing this but I just use this one. It works well.
Find Your Favorite Video. This step is pretty self explanatory. Be sure to use Safari and search for your favorite YouTube Video. It's as easy as that!
Next, you need to go to Window and down to Activity. Click on Activity to bring up the next dialog box.

Once the dialog box has popped up you need to look for the YouTube page among all the page titles and files listed in the window .
Once you locate it and expand all the activities going on in the page, look for the largest file size (this is shown in the right hand corner).
Most of the files found in a YouTube page are small files while most FLV files are several megabytes.
Once you locate the largest file, double click on it. This should cause another window to open and a download to ensue after that called "get_video".

Now that the FLV file is downloading to the desktop, we have to wait.

Step 2 Converting The Video

Great, now you have located the file and downloaded it to the desktop. What's next? Well, you need to open up your freshly installed iSkysoft iPod Movie Converter for Mac.
Click the "Add Files" button to add the youtube video files to the program by automatically selecting an appropriate encoder for the video files you want to convert to. Select the output format and then click “convert”.

This process only lasts a few minutes at the most.
You can convert several videos and join them into one files just check “merge into one file” option
The output file (mp4) is compatible with iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, PSP and many other digital video and audio players

2.Using free online converter
The Second method is using a website to convert the media files. This is good for you when you only have one file to convert or you can't install the programs necessary for conversion.
My favorite is zamzar converter.
You don't even need to download the video to your computer. Enter the URL of the video to the box, choose the format to convert to (iPod accepts mp4 video. So choose the format “mp4”.), and Enter your email address , then click “convert”. The output file will be sent to your mailbox.
Another one I like is media convert.

But you can not convert the large video files using free online converters. It is up to 100MB. And the quality of the output files is so so.

The Final Step

Now that the file has been converted, open the output folder and you can get the output
files.

The rest is up to you:
1. You can rename it and drag it into iTunes to put on your iPod or iPhone.
2. You can email it to friends so they can save it for themselves.
3. You can even edit it, and even post it back up onto YouTube!
The possibilities are endless!

I was able to convert dvd/video to iPhone using the Cucusoft iPhone Video Converter suite software .I found on FAQ : how to convert dvd and video to iphone . So far, I'm really impressed with how easy it is to use and how effectively it got the job done.
1.Download the latest version FAQ : how to convert dvd and video to iphone and install it. You can know more about it by referring here.

2.Insert the DVD you'd like to convert to your computer's DVD drive.

3. Click 'File' menu and 'Open DVD', or directly hit 'Open DVD' button to load the DVD. Set the profile to be iPhone 480*320 mpeg-4 video which is the default DVD video quality.

4. Click around in the DVD's menu to set up DVD playback as you like, select the subtitle and audio sound tracks etc, then begin to play the movie through the software by click the play button.
5. The following window will pop up. Here, you can rename 'Title Name', set 'Save Path' and output quality, then click 'Yes' button to start ripping DVD to iPhone MP4 or iPhone H264 video from the point that the movie starts. That is all. Just so easy!

* Set the start time to convert
Use the video playback controls to queue up the point at which you want to start ripping. Or click 'Setting -> Go to' and jump to previous/next chapter.
* More parameters
Click 'Setting -> Output video settings', here you can choose different profile, video/audio bitrates, video size, disable video/audio, aspect ratio, frame/sample rate, etc.
If you are not familiar with these options, please view the descriptions listed at the bottom of the window.

Hi Wyldeck:

Best way is to edit all the clips to the timeline and apply a submaster flip effect to an empty track that will automatically flip all the clips for you.

To do this: Add an empty track (preferrably a V24 track - without nothing on it). You can add a V24 track by holding down the alt key when you create a new track.

Place the flip effect onto V24. It will affect all the layers below it. Better yet, lock and hide V24 so you don't need to worry about it.

You can lock a track my right clicking on the track indicator. You can hide a track using the timeline menu and selecting 'show track - hide V24'.

Mike,

I usually don't work with QuickTime references files but here's a workflow to try if you haven't already. Maybe try using a self contained QuickTime video file and however many video segments you need, import that amount of videos into the Batch tree (main interface of Squeeze). Then trim each video clip by adding your desired in a out points.

-----
You can try choosing Good instead of Best for your compression speed. Best produces the best quality but will take longer to encode.

---

You can also try 1-pass VBR over 2-pass VBR but this will lower the final quality of your file.
-----
Another option is to do a 1-pass Quality VBR. This should at least cut time in half but the quality of your video will be related to the Quality setting you choose in the video encoder settings.

Hi Jeff:

Missing render files are a real pain. Forget about trying to re-link audio render files. All you need to do is re-render the sequence.

Question: It seems odd that you would ever need to render audio, unless you are running an extremely old version of Final Cut Pro. Which version of Final Cut Pro are you running?

That being said, make sure your video cameras are set to record 16 bit audio and not 12 bit. The default setting on most camera's is 12 bit audio which wreaks havoc with Final Cut Pro.

Also, make sure all of your audio elements are exactly 48Khz before importing them into Final Cut Pro. Otherwise, you may run into some serious issues, including keeping everything in sync on sequences that exceed more than 3 minutes. For example, if you are using any mp3 or audio CD files, those files will need to be converted to 48Khz before you use them in Final Cut Pro.

Hi Wyldeck:

You can add an effects sub-master to an empty track which will affect everything below it. To do this:

Add a new video track. Place the flop filter onto the top most track which is empty. The flip filter will affect everything below it. You can trim the track to affect areas of clips that are below it.

Unfortunately, you cannot add a time-warp effect as a sub-master. You would have to do an actual video mixdown. Therefore you'll have to do that step last.

FYI: Avid Xpress has been discontinued, so everyone will be upgrading to Media Composer. Yes I agree, there were a lot features Avid left out of Avid Xpress Pro, because they wanted to up-sell to Media Composer. Now, it's no longer an issue.

Media Composer has some great features, including tracking, and full vector based paint.

Thanks for that link, it was very helpful. Still not to the standard of FCP but is getting there. This reason alone for me is the reason why I would choose Media composer. The kind of stuff I edit requires this technique alot and I'm surprised that you need to go as far as Media Composer to achieve it efficently.

I have 2 question though. I'm working with lens adapter footage so the image is flipped.

1) Whats the best way to batch flip or manage flipped images in Avid. There is an XML treatment already made for FCP called 'rotate clips': http://www.spherico.com/filmtools/rotateClips/index.html
Do you know if there is one for Avid?

2) When I went to use time warp on a clip I already had a colour correction filter and a flip flop filter on my clip in the timeline. When I went to add time warp its said 'clip does not apply'. Whats the deal?

1. In FCP you have a duration box (opposite the tc box in viewer and finder). I know these are also found in some kind of a drop down menu in Avid on source and record monitors. But how can I manually adjust the duration (out point) by typing in a time myslef (like you can in FCP)?

2. Also,in FCP I was able to position the play head and type (for example) + 15 and it would jump 15 frames. How do I do this in Avid?

3. Also, in FCP, double clicking a clip would load to the viewer and modifications could be made. What's the equivalent in Avid?

Speed ramping in FCP is easy because you can chop in the timeline, the bits of the video you want slowed down and sped up. And it would just update in the timeline. How would I do this in Avid?

hi,
ive spent 2 days experimenting with exporting a 120minute video, the original file is 16G, it needs to be 2G in size, i finally was able to do this using H264 Quicktime, 720x480,without using compressor but i put the quality of the processor at medium. It seems fine, but i still doubt that it could be better...

My question is, how can i get the best quality but keep the movie file compacted.
What is the best way to export this video. should i use compressor? if so, what configurations should i use?

Thank you!

After I downloaded boot camp on the read before you install instructions it says that it is a licensed for use on a trial basis for a limited time.
1. Does that means it will stop working after a period of time?
2. It also says that you needs Windows XP with SP2. IT says Do not install an earlier version of WIN XP and attempt to update it later to SP2.
Since I have one that does not have the SP2 on it, Does it means that it won't work?

And when I move the circle for a given frame, it's seemingly changing position (visually) after I change another frame. Say I change frame 1, everything's fine, then I change frame 2 and 3. When I go back to frame 1, the circle is not positioned correctly anymore...

What can cause that? Any solution? Thanks for your help...

What you are experiencing is an an NTSC interlacing problem that is prevelant when attempting to playback an NSTC interlaced image on a progessive computer computer.

You have two options:

You can apply a de-interlace filter onto your entire sequence in Final Cut Pro. The is much faster and easier, but you'll end up losing half the quality of the image by removing the odd of even fields. I also reccomend that you nest your sequence to avoid having to put the de-interlace filter onto every single clip.

The other options would be to open the final movie into Apple Compressor and use the 'frame controls' to de-interlace the the movie using Adaptive Motion Compenstation.

Hi people...

I imported a piece of video in Final Cut Pro, following a rather unorthodox path. I recorded the original footage with a 10-year old analog Sony Camcorder, very ordinary. Then, I burned the video on a DVD using a VCR Cassette/DVD recorder. Then, I copied the video file (.VOB ) on my hard drive, converted it into DV, and import it into Final Cut Pro. So the final video format looks like this:

DV/DVCPRO - NTSC
720 x 480
Framerate: 29.97 fps
Data rate: 6.9 MB/sec
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)

Audio 48.0 KHz, 32-bit Floating Point

I'm not very knowledgeable in video formats, but it seems it's an interleaving problem, because the image looks like it's made of horizontal lines. It's more apparent when there's a lot a movement in the picture. Here's an example when I create a freeze frame of a high movement sequence:

You can see the horizontal lines in the picture. What could cause that? Is there any way to correct that at this point?

Thank you for your help.

[DVD Studio Pro] How to put DVD into Windows Movie Maker and iMovie

If you want to edit a DVD movie with Windows Movie Maker or import several DVD clips into Mac iMovie to build a new DVD, but you get frustrated with the DVD format, this guide may help you solve the problem.

Before you get started, it will be helpful if you learn something about the DVD, WMM and iMovie.
General DVDs have CSS copy protection in MPEG-2 or VOB format.
(Windows) Windows Movie Maker supports WMV, AVI and MPG video files.
(Mac) iMovie accepts MOV and MPEG4 video files.

This guide includes three parts;

1. How to put DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker.
2. How to add DVD clips to Apple Mac iMovie
Tip: How to convert MSWMM file to other video formats.

Part1. How to put DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker

Step1. To put a DVD movie into Windows Movie Maker, you have to rip your DVD to WMV or AVI video first, and then you can load it into Windows Movie Maker. I’d prefer using Aimersoft DVD Ripper to do this. You can get this program at: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper.html Then install and run it, put your DVD disc into your DVD drive, click “Load DVD” to locate your DVD file and import it, or load it by clicking “Load File” to add DVD IFO file. (This DVD Ripper can rip copyright protected DVD movies, but you should remember that it’s illegal rip DVD for any business purposes)

Step2. Select output format and subtitle
After you load the DVD files, click the format drop-down list to select “WMV – Windows Media Video (*.wmv)” or “AVI – Audio Video Interleaved (*.avi)” as the output format. A regular DVD movie has multiple subtitles and audio tracks, and you can select the right one for you. If you just want a certain part of the DVD movie, you can click “trim” to cut the DVD movie. Just drag the timeline bar to set the start and end time, and then blue line will be the captured parts.

For advanced user, if you want to output higher quality video, click the “Settings” button to open the panel, here you can customize video bitrate, audio bitrate, resolution, framerate, etc. Higher bitrate will result in bigger file size.

Step3. Start to convert
After the above steps, you just need to click “Start” and wait for the conversion to be finished. It takes about 40 minutes to convert a common two hours DVD movie.

Step4. Edit DVD with Windows Movie Maker (optional)
Run Windows Movie Maker, in the “Movie Task” bar, click “Add Video” to browse your computer and located the converted files, and then you can start to make personal movies.

Tips: Many users may wonder how they can convert Windows Movie Maker file (*.MSWMM) to other video format. Actually, A *.MSWMM file is not a video file. It is a project file of Movie Maker (more like a record file). You have to open this file in Windows Movie Maker and save the movie to your computer: Go to Movie Tasks bar > Finish Movie > Save to my computer. After that you will have a WMV file which can be converted to another video format or burned to DVD.

Part2. How to add DVD clips into Apple iMovie
iMovie is similar to Windows Movie Maker, it supports MOV and MP4 video, so you just need to convert your DVD movie to the right format. Aimersoft DVD Ripper has a Mac Version which supports both Mac OS Tiger and Leopard; you can download it for free from here:
http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper-for-mac.html
The operation steps are similar to the windows version, so I will not bother to repeat everything here.

When the conversion is finished, you can run the iMovie, build a new project, and then drag the converted files to the work space to make personal files.

When the task is finished, In the Menu bar, Click "File" -> "Export" and save it as QuickTime video, then you can convert it to other video format or burn it to DVD. If you need detailed info, here is a step by step guide about how to export iMovie project to QuickTime.

Hi Dave:

Sorry, this is a tough one without seeing what's actually happening.

Are you certain your DV camera it set to 48k audio? (or 16 bit - same thing)? If not that may be why you're getting all those extra tracks. However, I must say I've never seen a DV camera spit record 6 tracks of audio.

You should be able to replace multiple tracks of audio all at the same time, just make sure all of your audio tracks are patched together correctly.

In other words: After you perform the match frame, make sure the timeline tracks are patched correctly.

A1 = A1
A2 = A2, and so on.

FYI: You can also set your audio patches up like this:

A2 = A1
A1 A2 (leave this patch disconnected)

perhaps this is what you want? This would replace A1 audio with A2 audio.

As long as you've got the original source media in the viewer (with all the original audio tracks), you should be able to replace those clips back into the timeline using the blue-replace function.

*You are running Final Cut 5.1 or higher, yes?

The original tape was two track dv. There should be no surround sound.

To clarify: I filmed this, and I only recorded from the camera mic, except when there was an interview - in which case, a sound tech was holding a second microphone and recording on the camera's second channel.

On these interview parts, there are two tracks of audio. The audio I want to keep on the timeline is the second channel, coming from the microphone being held by the sound tech.

On the edit, the secondary track, teh one with the voice of the person being interviewed, had been deleted, and the audio track from the camera mic still on the timeline.

What I want to do is to restore both audio tracks to the timeline. Presently, there is only the one track- the one I don't want.

I want to be able to do this without having to go back to the source clip and dragging it back on the timeline... is this what you mean by "doing each track seperately"?

Once again, thanks for your response.

Hello again:

I tried it and it worked. Thank you very much!

This situation get's sticky for our substitute editor, however(me), when he finds that there are also places on the timeline where the main audio has been deleted deleted (the one from the guy holding the microphone), and only the audio track from the camera mic is on the timeline.

When I try the method you showed me to restore BOTH tracks where there was only one (pressing f), only the existing track is replaced with ittself - meaning, the other (main) track is still not there.

Another curious thing about this is that the captured clips are shown in the viewer to have several audio tracks - five of them blank. How could this have happened?

Any ideas?

Best,

There are only 4 audio tracks in these sequences, and they are all only about 20 mins long so that rules out the excessive audio creation theory.
Hi,

Are you running Final Cut Studio 2.0?

I'm not 100% sure of what's going on with your system. Are any of your sequences referencing a large number of audio tracks? Remember, QuickTime reference will only reference video files. If you have audio with your show, it will always create self-contained media for the audio.

That being said, you are right. 5GB would seem it's not referencing the original video files.

A good test would be to export your QuickTime ref movie again and see if it plays on another computer. If it does, then you'll know it's a self-contained movie, and something isn't working correctly.

Hi Sean:

Are you using Apple Compressor to compress your videos? If so, you can enable the frame controls within Apple Compressor to create better looking movies. Using frame controls is basically the equivalent of using a $30,000 real-time encoder. The only draw-back is the amount of compression time.

Hi guys

i am new to Final Cut and i am learning it these days. I am watchting the learning videos from lynda.com "final cut pro 6 - essential editing"

(in case you got the learnvideos: 05_06_fittofilledit-mov and 05_07_storyboard.mov)

I am now in the chapter "fit to fill edit"...

so i also did it that way but now it says in the Canvas "Not Redered" ..

And further i did a Storyboard editing in which i dragged multiple clips to "overwrite with transition"

by playing it shows the clips one after another but as soon as there should be a transition it says " Not Rendered" in the Canvas

but in the learnvideo it is functioning directly..

am i doing something wrong or am i missing something..

thanks for any help

Hi Sean:

Can you give me more information on what is going on? What do you mean by 'it doesn't look right'. Is it an aspect ratio problem? Or is it a compression problem?
