MMS and RTSP Support Needed on iPhone
MMS and RTSP support is needed on iPhone I, like many others, believe Apple creates some of the most amazing products but was surprised to find out that Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) and support for the (Real Time Streaming Protocol) RTSP Protocol was not a feature of the iPhone. I'm anxiously awaiting such features since it would be great to be able to send images, video, sound and animated messages to others and receive them from others as well. What I'm most excited about is the potential to stream video using the RTSP Protocol using the QuickTime Streaming Server.
For those that might not be aware of it:
Multimedia Messaging Services bring new excitement to the mobile device market. In the past, technology known of as SMS (which stands for Short Messaging Services) made our lives better by allowing us to send short text messages via e-mail or other mobiles phones. Today MMS is leading the way in providing the ability to send images, video, sound and animation in messages if consumers purchase a device that has the MMS (Mutlimedia Messaging Services) designation.
