These topics take you further down the rabbit hole is intended to provide the student with a comprehensive overview of the process and benefits of expanding and exploring the interoperability of SketchUp with the 3D Warehouse and Google Earth. SketchUp is a great design program and used in conjunction with the 3D Warehouse and Google Earth. You can quickly design and efficiently locate your project geographically on the Google Earth for accurate sun studies, context studies, fast massing studies, city planning or whatever geographic or demographic information that can be incorporated into your design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the complexity of the information that is covered within these topics please review the skills covered in Day 1 and Day 2. These topics are optional within GeniusDV’s 2 day SketchUp class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should already be able to:<\/b>
\u2022 Define fundamental geometric terms including: polygon, parallel, perpendicular, axes, and arc.
\u2022 Define 3-dimensional drawing terms including: rendering, field of view, and point of view.
\u2022 Demonstrate mouse skills including: double-click, single-click, drag, and right-click (context-click).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These skills will help participants understand fundamental principals of SketchUp as a 3D modeling software. Participants will learn how to create 3D objects quickly with basic and intermediate tools, as well as how to control model precision. Participants will learn to use image texturing to depict details of a model to reduce work and file size, as well as altering images in other applications for more efficient texture rendering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will learn the process of tagging geo-referenced information to a 3D model using SketchUp. This course will also provide participants the techniques they need to review and improve their 3D model quality and complexity for better final geomodeling results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
