Katya is a full-time freelance SketchUp modeler and software trainer. After attending the University of Alaska, she started her own business incorporating advanced graphics programs and professional digital photography to produce comprehensive 3D marketing materials for her various clients.

She views SketchUp as more than an rapid and cost-effective technical planning and documentation tool. She sees it as an impactful visual communications platform for presentations and marketing, both to consumers and  within organizations. Katya was interviewed for her photo-realistic Google Earth SketchUp modeling on radio, newspaper, magazine and television, and has been a guest speaker about 3D modeling at two separate Digital Marketing Seminars. Katya was made a Small Business Development Center Trainer in 2011.

Some of Katya’s students/clients include Disney Imagineering, the Atlanta International Airport, the Homer Chamber of Commerce, the City of Ottawa (Canada), Yuma International Airport, one of the top 5 day spas in the country, vacation rental properties, numerous small businesses, and a commercial real estate firm, for which she creates 3D animations and rotatable website-embedded models.

Katya has also worked on confidential modeling projects and collaborated with dozens of other modelers on major complex projects. Her clients and students are as spread out as New Zealand, England, Canada, and Columbia.

Katya brings her focus on practical business applications to the fore in an amazing 2 day hands-on SketchUp training course, incorporating Trimble’s official certified training guidelines.  She frequently also remotely trains students all over the globe via screen-sharing software.
