DivX, Inc., a digital media company, announced an agreement with Cabot Communications, the specialist digital TV software supplier. The agreement will enable Cabot technology partners to include DivX(R) support on a variety of silicon platforms powering home consumer products including HDTVs, DVRs and Set Top Boxes (STBs). DivX, Inc., a digital media company, announced the high-definition (HD) DivX Certification of three new digital television (DTV) system-on-a-chip (SoC) chip solutions from Broadcom Corporation.

The BCM3548, BCM3549 and BCM3556 are Broadcom's latest highly integrated single-chip DTV SoC solutions that allow TV manufacturers to offer their customers a variety of next-generation features and support including the benefit of seamlessly integrating DivX technology for full high-definition digital video at the 1080p profile.

DivX, Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced a multiyear agreement to add high-quality DivX video playback to a number of Samsung digital television models. The DivX Certified Samsung devices are expected to be available in worldwide markets beginning in early 2009, and will be able to playback DivX media files directly via USB slots or via Ethernet connection certified by DLNA.

The new devices will join a range of existing DivX Certified products from Samsung, including DVD players, mobile phones and more. DivX, Inc., a digital media company, and Funai Electric Co. announced the DivX Certification of a new Blu-ray player from Funai. The player will be launched in the European market in October.

With DivX Certification, Funai's new Blu-ray player, the B1-M110, is capable of seamlessly playing back high-quality DivX video. DivX, Inc., a digital media company, today announced an agreement with Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) that will enable online retailers in international markets to offer SPTI's feature films and television content for secure download in the high-quality DivX format for playback on DivX Certified consumer electronics devices powered by the next-generation chipset solution. This agreement follows an agreement DivX announced with Sony Pictures Television for domestic format approval in January.
