DivX, Inc., a digital media company, announced an agreement with Cabot Communications, the specialist digital TV software supplier. The agreement will enable Cabot technology partners to include DivX(R) support on a variety of silicon platforms powering home consumer products including HDTVs, DVRs and Set Top Boxes (STBs). Cabot will also be able to add DivX support to their media player application, Media Browser, for networked TV sets and STBs.

The DivX Certified Samsung devices are expected to be available in worldwide markets beginning in early 2009, and will be able to playback DivX media files directly via USB slots or via Ethernet connection certified by DLNA.

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, and Funai Electric Co. announced the DivX Certification of a new Blu-ray player from Funai. The player will be launched in the European market in October.

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, and Vestel A.S. announced plans today to release a new STB (set-top box) from Vestel supporting the high-quality playback of DivX video. This agreement follows an agreement DivX announced with Sony Pictures Television for domestic format approval in January.
