divx-certified.gifDivX, Inc., a digital media company, announced the high-definition (HD) DivX Certification of three new digital television (DTV) system-on-a-chip (SoC) chip solutions from Broadcom Corporation.

The BCM3548, BCM3549 and BCM3556 are Broadcom's latest highly integrated single-chip DTV SoC solutions that allow TV manufacturers to offer their customers a variety of next-generation features and support including the benefit of seamlessly integrating DivX technology for full high-definition digital video at the 1080p profile.

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, today announced the DivX Certification of three new Blu-ray player models from Pioneer (PN: BDP-LX71, BDP-LX08, BDP-51FD).

DivX technology enables a high-quality experience for digital video and DivX Certification of these new Blu-ray players allows consumers to play back DivX video saved on CDs or DVDs. Pioneer's first DivX Certified Blu-ray Disc Players, featuring high-quality image and sound, will be available across Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand starting in October (BDP-LX08 to be released in Europe only).

The system will be available to consumers across Europe starting in September.  The new DivX Certified system, the NX-BD3, is JVC's first entry into the Blu-ray market and is capable of playing back high-quality DivX video, providing consumers with a comprehensive approach to premium home entertainment. The NX-BD3 is built around the world's first DLNA CERTIFIED (Digital Living Network Alliance) Blu-ray Theater System, which allows consumers to seamlessly play back content over wired or wireless home networks, bringing libraries of video stored on the PC to the living room. With DivX Certification, NX-BD3 users will be able to enjoy high-quality digital videos burned to CDs or DVDs.
DivX, Inc., a digital media company, and Funai Electric Co. announced the DivX Certification of a new Blu-ray player from Funai. The player will be launched in the European market in October.

With DivX Certification, Funai's new Blu-ray player, the B1-M110, is capable of seamlessly playing back high-quality DivX video. DivX technology enables a premium visual experience in digital video while considerably reducing its file size. The B1-M110 will allow consumers to play back DivX video that has been burned to DVDs and CDs. Funai's newest Blu-ray player expands the DivX ecosystem within the Blu-ray device category and joins over 100 million other DivX Certified devices shipped by DivX licensees into the market including digital televisions, mobile phones, digital cameras, personal media players and set-top boxes.

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, today announced a licensing agreement with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., a driving force behind processing solutions for nearly 40 years. This agreement will bring DivX video technology to AMD Imageon™ application processors, extending existing licensing and certification relationships between the two companies.

AMD Imageon application processors are designed to power a range of handheld multimedia devices, including next-generation mobile phones and smartphones. AMD is a leading supplier of media processors to the handheld market with nearly 250 million AMD Imageon media processors shipped to date.

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, today announced a licensing agreement with semiconductor supplier AMD. This agreement will allow AMD to include DivX video technology with specific AMD Xilleon processors to power a broad range of next-generation digital TVs worldwide.
