ViewCast to Deliver Live Flash Player Video Content
ViewCast Corporation, a global leader in the design and manufacture of the world's most advanced media encoding products, announced that it has partnered with Adobe Systems Incorporated. This partnership paves the way for ViewCast to add live web video streaming via Adobe Flash Player to the broad range of streaming formats supported by its GoStream Plus and Niagara Pro streaming media appliances.
The partnership is a strategic agreement enabling ViewCast to promote and market to all collective sales channels new streaming products that are fully compatible with Flash Media Server by Adobe and the Flash Video Streaming Service.
Under the terms of the agreement, ViewCast will integrate streaming Flash content into ViewCast's streaming appliances. These appliances will be used by content owners and delivery networks to enable real-time Flash Player video streaming of live and prerecorded content. The intent is to support Flash users and the use of Flash for both live and video-on-demand (VOD) applications.
