Motion 2 Templates in Final Cut Pro
One of the new features in the Final Cut Studio 2.0 suite of programs is the ability to integrate motion templates directly within a Final Cut Pro sequence.
This new feature really ehances the integration between Apple Motion 2.0 and Final Cut Pro 6.0.
Final Cut Pro 6.0 also provides a better real-time engine with the ability to play Motion templates in real-time directly witin the Final Cut Pro timeline.
You will notice a new sub-menu in the Final Cut Pro effects menu. In this example, navigate to the effects menu, and choose 'Master Templates / Travel /Travel-Open'
This will place the Motion Template into the viewer window. Next, click on the controls tab. Within the controls-tab you edit the template by changing text elements and adding video clips to drop-zones.
Now, drag the template from the viewer window into your Final Cut Pro sequence and play the clip.
If you need to make additional changes, you can double click on the clip within the Timeline window to load it back into the viewer window.
