DSP Core IP with MainConcept H.264 Decoder Now Available

MainConcept, the world's leading provider of high quality codec technology, announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with InterQoS, a semiconductor company based in Hong Kong, to jointly develop and market a complete embedded solution capable of addressing the needs of mobile video gadgets. Victorus, InterQoS' DSP Core IP, is now running an embedded version of the MainConcept H.264 decoder.

It is showing the best performance, power consumption and price-performance ratios available on the market today. The complete solution, including the InterQoS DSP core IP and the MainConcept H.264 decoder, is targeted at customers who need to design the Victorus DSP core IP into their mobile devices for the growing mobile multi-media market. According to current market forecasts, the Mobile TV and handset market is expected to grow to 600 million units by 2011.
