Democracy Player Provides TV-like Viewing Experience for Internet Video
With the explosion of thousands of videos on the Internet there's a popular tool that we help Internet users watching content on the web and have close to a TV-like viewing experience. The tool is called the Democracy Player and it's available for free from the http://www.getdemocracy.com/.

The project is a creation of the Participatory Culture Foundation and the media player is an amazing tool, providing the ability to player Democracy Player compatible videos right in the media player. Users can search Google Video, Yahoo! Video, YouTube and Blogdigger right in the Democracy Player. I like to watch the NBA and news related videos on the web and I was easily able to do searches for this kind of content and the results that I found were amazing. Another way that users can search for video content is by genre using the Channel Guide embedding in the Democracy Player. There are a wealth of channels available for users to watch.
Once a channel is found viewers can add the channel to their Democracy Player and then that channel's content is made available for downloading. Downloading happens behind the scenes and can be monitored by clicking the Active Downloads inside of the Democracy Player. Users can have 10-15 downloads going at the same time. Once the content is ready to view it will show up in the New Videos tab in the media player. Users can then have a TV-like viewing experience with their Internet video by playing the downloaded videos in a playlist. If the video content is not compatible with the Democracy Player users will prompted with the option to play the video in a separate external media player. As on-line viewers try to the sort through the madness of navigating to desired Internet video content many will appreciate the capabilities of the Democracy Player.
