Creating Sub Bins For Favorites In FCP

You can work more efficiently if you have all of your favorite filters and transitions in an area where they're easily accessible, as opposed to scrolling around in a menu to find them. We all have favorites that we return to from project to project and knowing how to create sub-bins for storage of these favorites is going to save you time.

Organizing Trasitions and Filters Into Sub-bins

1 Within the browser window, select the project's tab.

2 Create a new bin by going to File > New Bin and give it a unique name.

3 Within the browser, click on the Effects tab and drag it from the browser, then release it.

4 With the Effects Tab now open in its own separate window, drag the new bin you just made to the favorites folder located in the Effects window.

5 Drag your favorite filters and transitions into the new bin.
