Creating Stereo Pairs In FCP

Creating stereo audio for a project is very easy within Final Cut Pro. Pretty much, any audio clip in the timeline can become stereo pairs.

Creating A Stereo Pair

1 Make sure the clips you will be making into a pair are sitting one over top of the other.

2 Within the timeline, select two mono clips by pressing the command key and clicking them.

3 Go to Modify > Stereo pair. If you have just just paired two clips of various lengths, the bottom clip will be adjusted to the length of the top clip (given there is enough media for bottom clip to do so). You will now be able to see the stereo pair indicators on the clips.
