Avid Express Pro HD 5.6 is here!
Avid has released its latest version of Express Pro HD, 5.6. This release is an update from 5.5 and if you have not yet updated to 5.5 it will cost you $49.99 to obtain this latest release. You also need to update your dongle for this release. The directions for update your software and your dongle are included at the time of purchase. Some noteworthy updates and fixes include:
Sample Media: This is included media that allows you to get started practicing with Avid without having to capture any media.
Previously, HDV splicing was only available for the 720p format. It is now available for
1080i and 720p formats.
Previously, exporting HDV material may have resulted in corrupt media being written to the
HDV device. This has been fixed.
Full screen playback of your media.
Changes to Default Location of Avid Projects: The default locations of the Avid Projects folders have changed to use the security provided by your systems user login.
Safe color Limiter: Allows you to limit colors to your specifications.
