Adobe Photoshop Launching Issues

I recently was unable to open Adobe Photoshop. It was locked up on the splash screen and the only way to stop it was to either restart my computer or end it through the task manager. I did a little research and found that this is a very common problem. It seems the settings become corrupt and you will no longer be able to launch Adobe Photoshop until you delete the proper files. You need to either systematically delete files or you can delete all of the files to rectify all of your problems. you will lose all of your custom actions but if you can't start Photoshop they are worthless. All you need to do is go to "C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\8.0\Adobe Photoshop CS Settings" start by deleting "New Doc Sizes.psp" and if that does not work then you may have to delete everything. This should resolve your problems with starting Adobe Photoshop.
