Accordent Technologies Attains Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Status

Accordent Technologies, a provider of enterprise rich media communications solutions, announced that it has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, with a competency in ISV/Software. As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Accordent has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven its ability to meet customers' needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including advance access to the latest Microsoft platforms and development environments. In conjunction with dedicated Microsoft training and support, these benefits reinforce Accordent's ability to provide first-to-market Microsoft compatibility for rich media creation and management solutions.
Accordent's rich media communications platform enables organizations - from Fortune 500 corporations to public sector and higher education institutions - to leverage high-impact, cost-effective online multimedia presentations that integrate seamlessly with enterprise networks, IT systems, databases and directory services. The Accordent Media Management System serves as the platform's core, providing a centralized online repository that allows organizations to manage, search, secure, monitor, measure and report on rich media communications assets. Clients can create multimedia presentations using the Accordent Capture Station turnkey appliance, Accordent PresenterPRO corporate webcasting system, or Accordent Engage enhanced audio webcasting solution, and can archive these alongside other communications - such as third-party videoconferencing and web conferencing content - within the AMMS architecture.

The Microsoft Gold Partner certification reflects a number of development efforts that showcase Accordent's proficiency with Microsoft's latest technology offerings - including the .NET Framework and Windows Media 11. These include successfully deploying Accordent solutions and rich media presentation interfaces for the Microsoft Studios group on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
"Microsoft and Accordent were early leaders in developing rich media authoring solutions for the desktop," said Ben Waggoner, Technical Evangelist for the Core Media Processing team at Microsoft Corp. "Today, with its significant footprint in delivering customer premise webcasting and rich media solutions to Fortune 500 companies, Accordent continues to play a significant role in helping multimedia communications become a mainstream component of Microsoft productivity applications, using Windows Media and VC-1."
"Achieving Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program enables us to promote our long-standing expertise and relationship with Microsoft to our customers," said Michael Lorenz, Accordent Chief Technology Officer. "Our clients - who are among the most advanced and prolific users of rich media communications in the world - count on Accordent to integrate seamlessly with their Microsoft infrastructure and to be among the first to support new architecture and codec advances, including .NET and Windows Media," he said.
The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.
