If you are a Media Composer or Final Cut Pro editor and you use a MacBook Pro to edit with, you may find it interesting that you can close the screen on your Laptop and still continue to work.

This actually improves the performance of the MacBook Pro because it now only has to drive an external screen instead of it's own LCD screen.  Plus, it prevents the mouse cursor from moving off your larger screen, back onto your Laptop.

In this video you can see how I hook up a Mac Air using a mini Display Port adapter to Dual Link DVI in order to drive the screen at 2650 x 1600

You can use Photoshop to create 3D animations for Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.  After you create your animation, just save render it out as a QuickTime Movie and import it into your favorite editing system.
