SketchUp 8 new feature - Add Location

SketchUp 8 has a new feature - Add Location

SketchUp 8 is now much easier to get a precise location of your model with the addition of the new feature - Add Location.
In previous releases of SketchUp getting a precise location of your model was a complicated process which required you to have Google Earth and SketchUp running simultaneously.  All that has changed with SketchUp 8 - simply click on the Add Location Icon in the tool bar.

And in the search bar on the top left of the window type a location, as an example -  Universal Studios Orlando which will then zoom you to your selected location...

Then click Select region and adjust the area you want by moving the blue pins at each corner of the box and once you have the area you want then select - Grab.

This will then load your location into SketchUp and you can now start designing
