LiveType textures can be used in Motion. The easiest way to accomplish this is to render a movie out of LiveType, and then bring the .mov outputted from LiveType into Motion.

In LiveType you will establish the speed of the animation, and you will set the duration of the texture. After establishing the speed of the animation, you will loop the texture to get the desired duration. The next step is to render out a movie. CMD+R will bring up the Save interface. Name and Save your favorite LiveType Textures to media you can bring into Motion.

To make the Quicktime movie easier to work with in Motion, or especially if the background texture is going to be used regularly, you will want to re-compress the .mov to something like Apple Pro Res.
