Using Avid FX with Avid Titles
You can use the Avid FX plug-in to add creative effects to titles that you've created within the standard Avid title tool.
Avid FX is a special plug-in that is basically the same as a licensed version of Boris FX. Avid FX can be launched as a stand-alone application, or it can be launched as a plug-in directly from the Avid software.
Avid FX ships with any Media Composer software license.
To apply an Avid FX filter onto an existing Avid title, drag the Avid FX title matte onto an exisiting title within the Avid timeline. The Avid FX Title Matte Effect allows you to apply filters directly to an Avid title without affecting the background layer on V1.

Next, enter into Avid Effect's mode, by clicking on the effects editor icon in the upper left corner of the Avid timeline.

The effect editor will appear. Click on the 'launch user interface button' to launch the Avid FX plug-in.

After the Avid FX interface launches, choose a filter from the filters menu. In this example , I've chosen the BCC Light-Zoom filter.
You may need to do some keyframing within Avid FX in order to create the effect your looking for. After you've created your effect within Avid FX, press the Apply button to return to the Avid Media Composer software.
