In 2001, veteran trainer John Lynn and high-end editor Mike Willats joined together to found GeniusDV in Orlando, Florida.  In the 9 years since, we at GeniusDV have trained thousands of video professionals across the nation and the world.  And over that time, we've witnessed the industry change dramatically.  Technology has gotten cheaper, video has come to the Internet, and well-rounded video professionals are in demand not just in film and broadcast but across a mind-boggling number of industries.

In 2009, GeniusDV harnessed our proven training expertise and experienced instructors to found the GeniusDV Institute.  Our state-licensed Diploma in Video Production takes you through our proven, world-class training for each step of the post process.  On top of the usual classroom instruction, the Diploma program helps you master your skills by applying them to labwork with the support of your instructors.

By the time you earn your diploma, you'll be well-qualified to enter the video industry as a post-production professional, to freelance as a videographer, or to further specialize in an advanced field.
