final cut pro transition
Setting a transition in Final Cut Pro is as simple as control clicking or right clicking on the edit point and choosing Add Tranisition from the pop up menu. In this scenario you would be applying the default transition which is a cross-dissolve. For more transition options go to Effects > Video Transitions or navigate to the Effects Tab in the Browser Window and choose Video transitions and drag the desired transition to the edit point.
You can also change the default transition by either Control clicking or right clicking on a new transition under the effects tab and choosing Set As Default Transition.
