Day 1 Detail Overview
- Interface Overview
Your instructor will show you the different features of the interface to get you familiar with the application. This part of the class will cover the History palette, Toolbox, Layer palette, Color palette, Navigator palette, Channels palette, Paths palette and other items within the Photoshop interface.
- Creating Multi-layered Photoshop images
This portion of the class will teach you how to set-up your project and create layers. You will learn proper layer order for compositing your mulit-layered images. Learn tips and tricks for using the Layers palette. The instructor will teach you how to select transparency, change opacity, re-order, and turn on/off layers. Your instructor will show you how each of these items works and how to use them to enhance the quality of your composited images.
- Recording Actions (Macros) for saving work processes
It's always great to create workflows to make your life easier and using Actions helps you to do that. You'll be taught the process of creating graphic designs and how to save the steps your performing with Actions (Macros). This will benefit you as you use similar tasks for future projects. Learn how to save, recall and move your Actions to workstations for others to use.
- Overview of image formats to use for the Web
One of the most important items of the Photoshop for Web class is how to convert your .PSD images to other formats for the web.
